Now we have our 400 grit sanding paper, soap,
and water. |

As you can see the wet sanding with soapy
water cleans the pedal while it is sanded. This helps with getting ride of burs, oil coolant from manufacture die casting and stamping, and our pencil lines. |

Here you can see a before and after comparison. All I want to
do is make it clean get rid of burs, and the oxidation. Aluminum oxidizes just like steel does or sheet metal. If it sets to long it will start to get white rust just like sheet metal, then it will oxidixe and start to look like it did before. By sanding we get ride of this, and it allows the primer to stick to the metal. |
